Mary is The Coming

The Italian painter Raphael Santi (1483 – 1520) completed in 1512 the work ‘Madonna di Foligno’. In this painting there is a special detail hidden.

The figure of John the Baptist makes the characteristic gesture by which he can be identified: a hand with pointing finger.  Remarkably, John the Baptist does not point to the child Jesus, but to the figure of Mary.
Rudolf Steiner (1861 - 1925) in his writings and lectures repeatedly pointed out that the painter Raphael is a reincarnation of John the Baptist.

In a painting of Raphael – John the Baptist reincarnated  - every detail has a meaning. It can not be that the pointing finger accidentally does not point to Jesus, but to the figure of Mary. It's meant to be.
John the Baptist does not repeat himself; now he is pointing to Mary as The Coming.
